I went to the art museum around campus with my friends Fiona and Emma last week. While there we only stayed on the first floor, but I noticed that out of all the art on the first floor only one of the artist was a woman. It was shocking to me that there was only one small room for Bela Kadar. I’m not sure if there was more female artists work upstairs, but from the looks of it I doubt there was much more.
Toyota’s androgyny commercial.. but I think it was banned.. possibly.. but what do I know! You should check it out.

If Disney Princesses Had Normal Sized Eyes
My friend showed me this Buzzfeed article a week or two ago and I found it really interesting. I never realised that Disney princesses eyes were so much larger than any other characters in the films.
Better than I thought it was going to be. Pretty self explanatory, and humorous.
This links well with the reading of our reading Resisting Against Violence. She speaks of almost everything in that reading spot on, using a real example of someone she’s helped / known.

The title of this slam poetry was kind of concerning to me, but once I gave it a listen I thoroughly enjoyed it. She made it very humourous while hitting some very important points. I didn’t like how she made it seem as if all straight people were like this, but it’s still a great video.
